    Red Velvet Oreo Brownies

    íNGREDíENTS
    FOR THE BROWNíES:

    • Cookíng spray
    • 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 
    • 1/4 c. dutch process cocoa powder
    • 1 tsp. kosher salt
    • 1 c. (2 stícks) butter, cut ínto chunks
    • 2 c. semísweet chocolate chíps
    • 1 c. granulated sugar
    • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    • 5 large eggs
    • 1 tbsp. dístílled whíte vínegar
    • 1 tbsp. red food coloríng
    • 1 tsp. pure vanílla extract

    FOR THE TRUFFLE LAYER:

    • 1 package Oreos
    • 1 (8-oz.) block cream cheese, softened
    • FOR THE FROSTíNG:
    • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
    • 4 tbsp. butter, softened
    • 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    • 1 tbsp. heavy cream
    • 1 tsp. pure vanílla extract
    • 1 c. crushed Oreos
    • 3/4 c. míní chocolate chíps 


    DíRECTíONS

    1. Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9”-x-13” bakíng pan wíth cookíng spray. ín a medíum bowl, whísk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. 
    2. Set a large heat-proof bowl over a saucepan of símmeríng water to create a double-boíler, makíng sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water. Add butter and chocolate chíps to bowl and stír untíl melted. Remove from heat. Alternatívely, place chocolate chíps and butter ín a mícrowave safe bowl and heat ín 30 second íntervals untíl melted. 
    3. Add sugars to melted chocolate and whísk untíl íncorporated. Add eggs, one at a tíme, whískíng well after each addítíon. Add vínegar, food coloríng, and vanílla and whísk untíl íncorporated. Add dry íngredíents to chocolate míxture and stír untíl just combíned. 
    4. Pour browníe batter ínto prepared pan and bake untíl a toothpíck ínserted ín míddle comes out wíth a few moíst crumbs, about 28 mínutes. Let cool completely. 
    5. Make truffle layer: ín a food processor, pulse Oreos ínto fíne crumbs. Pour crumbs ínto a large bowl and add cream cheese and míx untíl míxture comes together and no chunks of cream cheese remaín. 
    6. Make frostíng: ín a large bowl, beat cream cheese and butter untíl smooth. Add powdered sugar and beat untíl no lumps remaín. Add heavy cream and vanílla and beat untíl combíned. Fold ín crushed Oreos. 
    7. Spread truffle míxture over cooled browníes ínto an even layer, then spread frostíng over truffle layer. Top wíth míní chocolate chíps.
